CURRENT VACANCIES:

Plants Manager (Full-time)

We’re looking for a keen individual with a proven track record to manage our plant area.  

 You’ll be responsible for sourcing plants, inspiring customers through stimulating displays, educating and enlightening customers with fantastic, honest advice, and driving sales and profitability through careful buying, promotions and stock control. 
The ideal candidate will have a real passion and knowledge for plants and be able to share that with enthusiasm. They will have experience with motivating and leading a small team, worked in a retail environment, understand the seasonality of plants and the necessity to control the entry and exit through the business. They will be creative and entrepreneurial in their approach to display in order to entertain, inspire and educate our customers.
 
Please note that this role will require some heavy lifting of bags of compost or similar.

Working 5 days per week: usually 4 week days plus alternating Saturday or Sunday, but some flexibility will be required to cover bank holidays etc.

Benefits includes competitive rate of pay (based on experience), 29 days paid holiday, staff discount, uniform, on-site parking.

Head of Gardening (Full-time)

We’re looking for a flexible individual with a keen interest
in gardening and plants and/or relevant horticultural
experience to join our small team.  

 You’ll be responsible for our gardening department, which includes wild birdcare, garden sundries, tools, seeds and bulbs, compost and gravels amongst other gardening related things.
 

The ideal candidate will have a real passion and knowledge for plants and gardening, and be able to share that with enthusiasm. They will have experience with working in a retail environment, understand the seasonality of gardening and the necessity for stock control. They will be creative and entrepreneurial in their approach to display in order to entertain, inspire and educate our customers.
