CURRENT VACANCIES:
Head of Gardening Department (Full-time or Part-time)

We’re looking for a flexible individual with a keen interest in gardening and an excellent proven track record in retail to join our small team.
Day to day tasks will include providing great customer service by answering customer queries face to face and on the phone with some till work. You will be responsible for ordering products, finding new ranges and maintaining profits. You’ll also help to keep the garden centre clean, tidy and well stocked by processing deliveries and replenishing and creating impactful displays across our product ranges, but most regularly gardening sundry related products, garden chemicals, seeds etc.
Please note that this role will require some heavy lifting of bags of compost or similar.
Working 5 days per week: usually Monday to Friday plus alternating Saturday or Sunday, but some flexibility will be required to cover bank holidays etc.
Benefits includes competitive rate of pay (based on experience), 29 days paid holiday, staff discount, uniform, on-site parking.

General Retail Assistant – Gardening (Full-time or Part-time)

Cafe Assistant (Full-time or Part Time considered)

Are you passionate about coffee, food, and delivering exceptional customer service? We are looking for an enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team and help us deliver a fantastic experience for every customer.
Key responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Welcoming guests, answering questions, and providing friendly, efficient service.
- Food & Beverage Preparation: Making coffees, teas, and preparing food items (hot pastries and cakes) to standard recipes.
- Cleaning & Hygiene: Clearing tables, washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and maintaining high sanitation standards.
- Till Operation: Processing cash and card transactions quickly and accurately.
- Stock Maintenance: Restocking service areas and assisting with inventory.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Previous cafe or customer service experience is preferred, but not always essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication, ability to work under pressure, strong teamwork, and basic math skills for cash handling.
- Attitude: Punctual, energetic, and a positive “can-do” attitude.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift or carry items.
